Our Delta Blend (Delta meaning: "The Difference") comes in two flavours original unflavoured and salted caramel.
Both flavours contain the same amount of L-Theanine, Alpha-GPC, Panax Ginseng and the salted caramel flavour also contains monk fruit sweetener and natural flavouring from sugar cane and vanilla bean.
Why L-Theanine, Alpha-GPC & Panax Ginseng?
To answer that let's take a look at how each supplement works.
L-Theanine is an amino acid found most commonly in green tea leaves. When consumed it increases the production and levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, like GABA (gamma-aminobutyric), serotonin and dopamine.
GABA for example is a inhibitory neurotransmitter and promotes relaxation and reduces anxiety. Serotonin is associated with mood regulation and dopamine is involved in reward and motivation feelings.
By increasing the levels of production of these types of neurotransmitters, L-Theanine promotes a sense of calmness and relaxation without causing any drowsiness. These attributes also have synergistic effects with caffeine and can counteract potential side effects of caffeine like the jitters.
L-Theanine has also been shown to have neuroprotective effects, by reducing oxidative stress (an imbalance of oxygen-reactive species in your cells) it can help protect your brain cells and may contribute to long-term cognitive well-being.
Alpha GPC when consumed readily crosses the blood-brain barrier and is converted into acetylcholine which is an important neurotransmitter involved in memory, learning, attention and overall cognitive function.
By increasing your acetylcholine levels it can support getting you to an optimal brain performance.
Alpha GPC has also been shown to have vasodilatory effects, meaning it can widen blood vessels and improve blood flow to the brain which in turn provides better oxygen nutrient levels to the brain cells. Additionally, alpha GPC is involved in energy metabolism, supporting the production of ATP, the body's primary energy currency.
Panax ginseng is a medicinal plant that has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine.
Ginseng has been shown to support the body's stress response system, helping balance stress hormones like cortisol and helping the body's physiological and psychological responses to stress.
Panax ginseng is often used to combat fatigue and improve energy levels. It is believed to stimulate the central nervous system and increase alertness and mental focus. Ginseng may enhance energy metabolism and increase the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the body's primary energy molecule.
It has also been shown to modulate the immune system and enhance immune function. It may help improve the body's defence mechanisms against infections and diseases.
So back to the question...Why L-Theanine, Alpha GPC & Panax Ginseng?
We wanted to make a coffee that gives you more than just a boost of energy but also helps you focus & gain clarity to perform at your best for a long period of time. We're coffee people at heart so of course it also had to taste good, good enough to be drunk every day, or maybe multiple times a day...

You may ask, yea cool you have this extra stuff but how much of each should I be getting a day?
The optimal amounts of L-Theanine, Alpha GPC, and Panax ginseng can vary depending on individual factors such as age, weight, health status, and desired effects.
That being said, here are some general dosage ranges for each of the substances:
L-Theanine: Typical dosages of L-Theanine range from 100 mg to 400 mg per day. Many individuals find that a dosage of 150 mg - 200 mg is sufficient to experience its calming and focus-enhancing effects. It's worth noting that L-Theanine is often consumed in combination with caffeine, with a ratio of 1:1 (L-Theanine to caffeine) being commonly used.
Alpha GPC: Recommended dosages of Alpha GPC typically range from 200 mg to 1,200 mg per day, divided into multiple doses. It's often recommended to start with a lower dosage, such as 200 mg per day, and gradually increase if needed.
Panax Ginseng: The optimal dosage of Panax ginseng can vary depending on the specific product and concentration of active compounds (ginsenosides). In studies, dosages typically range from 200 mg to 400 mg of Panax ginseng extract per day.
And we've used this data along with taking into account foods that may be eaten each day that have these compounds to help formulate the quantities of each compound we've added so that you get the optimal amount of each!
