"Why is refuelling after training so important?

Remember that during training, we are breaking down muscle tissue. This means we are technically getting weaker...however these muscle tears create the stimulus to then REBUILD that muscle tissue to come back stronger, bigger, more efficient etc.

Provided the building blocks (from your nutrition!) is there to support this so don't forget to refuel properly to help you get the most out of those sessions!

This flavour combo using the Delta Blend Performance Coffee and choc protein, paired with strawberries + banana is probably one of my favourite ones yet!

RECIPE:

1/2 cup rolled oats

150g Greek style soy yoghurt

2 tosp choc vegan protein powder

1 tsp flaxmeal

2 tsp @2x_espresso salted caramel coffee powder, code is NINA10

2-3 chopped dates

1 banana

2-3 strawberries

Handful of granola

Method:

  1. Add oats to a mug, cover with boiling water and leave to soak overnight. 
  2. In the morning, combine yoghurt with protein, coffee powder, flaxmeal, soaked oats and chopped dates.
  3. Top with granola, banana and berries. ENJOY!"
